i wouldn't paint them a bright color, itll draw too much attention away from the car with a bright color calipers, and our stock ones are too tiny too look cool anyways. . . sack up the cash and get BBK.

I'm with antirice on this one. Unless you have big brakes or a monoblock calipers like Brembos or Stop-Tech, keep 'em unpainted or black (just like Sportcoupe35). Painting stock, non-big brake calipers red makes you look like a wanna-be.

I put 930 Turbo brakes on my non-turbo 911, kept them original black, and I think they look great... classic and understated.

I guess you'd know about the new friends being that you're from
San Francisco? Where can I order the rhinestones

I also suggest black. I painted the stock rear calipers on our Saleen to match the front Brembos and it looks great.

I used four coats of Plati-kote (sp?) brake caliper paint. For prepping, I removed the wheels, unbolted the calipers from the brackets, then removed the brackets themselves. To remove excess casting flash and smooth out some of the parts, I used a Dremel, files and sandpaper. The results are well worth the effort.

See page five of my cardomain site for photos. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/426834/1

IMO - painting the stock brakes any bright color will just actually make them look smaller.

You should consider powder coating over painting. It's not very expensive and would look 10x better than paint.

I have a 05 DG Coupe and I planned on getting the red Stoptech BBK even before I bought my car. I'm actually ordering them this month so I painted my tiny stockers red with that G2 kit in the mean time... I am highly against doing things that are "rice" and was cursing myself the whole time I was doing it but it actually looks pretty good.

I would NEVER paing my calipers ever again tho. Save your money dood. I regret wasting my money on the paint. Coulda bought a tank of gas instead.
