For street pads, I would NEVER GO with Hawk HPS. It doesn't bite. The pads need to warm up or heat up before it starts biting. Maybe for track but not street.
Street pads need to have good intial bite but Hawk HPS does not. In street driving, you never know what car, person, or thing may pop up in front of you and you don't have time for the pads to warm/heat up.
If its raining or snowing(no experience in snow) and its cold, you better start pumping your brake early to warm it up.
Just my thought/opinion and experience.
