I recently ordered the Eibach prokit sedan springs for my 05A G35, I want a suttle drop. My friends have me questioning my choice in dropping my car they think it doesn't need to be dropped I have a tight 3 finger gap in the back and a tight 4 finger gap in the front. I am concerned that lowering the car will cause rubbing if I have two other people in the car and I am running a set of 245/40/19 which is larger than suggest tire size for 19s. I can't find pictures of a sedan with the same tire size and a Eibach pro kit drop to see how low the car would be does anyone know of someone I can PM for pixs?

 

are you running 245/40 all around?? if so i dont think you'll have rubbing issues but i do know that the Pro-kit does lower the car quite a bit, you'll probably have a 1.5 finger gap in the rear and 2-2.5 in the front.

Yep 245/40s all around and I have small fingers so I that is still tight if you ask me I have until Tuesday before I have to take the car in to have it lowered I am still not sure what to do... Here is a side shot on even ground.

 

I dont think you'll rub with passengers in the back with the eibach but the only way to know is finding someone with the same setup (unlikely) or to try it on your own. When i get my rims for mine im also going to run 245/40 on all corners but i'm opting for the Tein H-Techs and Tokico D-spec shocks because i think that the Pro-Kit is too much of a drop for me. JMO though.

I had 245s front and rear with 19s and eibach pro kit. Except I had a coupe. There was no rubbing, but I was pretty low. Recently switched to tein basic and couldn't be happier.

What are your offsets?

 

My offsets are +35 all around.

 

I actually prefer the Tein H-Techs for the slight drop in the rear but the shop ordered the pro kits even though I told him I wanted a half inch gap in the rear and 1.5 in the front which is basically H-Techs He just kept saying the Eibachs make a spring which will give you that drop. Which I have discovered was not the case since then of course. I have measured the wheel wells I have enough space for an Eibach drop. I found some pixs of a person with the same set up...

 

Cancel your order and don't do business with that shop if they're going against your wishes.

Well, I have the Tein H Techs and Tokico D SPecs on my 03 sedan and here's my $.02

When I first had it with my OEM 17's, it was lower and the gap seemed ok..(Sorry dunno how many fingers). But when I switched to my 19's (245/35 rears and 225/35 fronts) the gap seemed the same but the car seemed higher.. i didnt measure either.. SO i ordered the Pro Kits b/c I heard that it is a more aggressive drop.

But here is the main reason why i didn't like it. THe rear of the car still seemed to be lower than the front. I have seen pics (cant rememer who) and the sedan drop looks more even with the Pro Kits on.. hope this helped

THats what i hear and see (from pics)... I have the in the garage but havent had a chance to switch them out .

 

I like the drop on the black sedan, its not tucking or anything, its just right if you dont want the racecar look... or whatever

oh yeah and I agree with Phayze One - cancel the order and go somewhere else out of principle. Oh yeah and make sure they know WHY you are cancelling the order.

I wasn't expecting to get this big of a response usually I will get one response and that is all. I like the shop but I think the guy I was ordering from is so use to dealing with civics and other rice mobiles and the G35 coupe as well here in Hawaii there aren't a lot of modded G35 sedans. I showed him my car and the wheel gap I have now and he just said yes the Eibachs will be a good choice I don't even think he was aware of Teins for my car. I chop it up to ignorance. I plan to get the springs because I am still on the fence about them I definately want to wait and get shocks and sway bars before I lower the car...
