Question Anyone Installed Stillen Sways???

Have any of you installed your own Stillen Sways (or other brand)?

I know I am capable of it, I have done everything else on my car except for the springs but I was wondering if you had any problems?

Thanks!

If you have done your springs then the Sway Bar install will be a joke compaired, I install the stillen front & rear about a month after getting the car, and that was without a garage, just jacked the car up on jackstands and was able to get far enough underneath to do the swap, all in the apartment complex parking lot.

I also used the Hyperflex bushings to replace the stock ones.

I have been very happy with them

I am also thinking of getting the sways from someone in the forum and getting the install done through one of his friends. I will let you know how it goes. People on the forum states its a easy install, which is should be but I really don't want to do it myself. I don't mind paying money for my installs as long as its from someone very knowledgable.

It's really quite easy, you might need a breaker bar, though, since some of the bolts are pretty tight. I did them myself, in about 2 hours, and I was taking my time.

I used Energy Suspension urethane bushings on the back, but the ones for the front didn't fit right, since I had to re-use the old mounts. Other thing to keep in mind is that the Stillen Sways are actually 5 way adjustable, even though they only have three holes; the left and right sides don't need to match up. You can put them in the following settings (loosest to tightest) I have mine on soft/med fronts, and med/hard rears and I like it.

1 left, 1 right
1 left, 2 right or 2 left, 1 right (same stiffness)
2 left, 2 right, or 1 left, 3 right and 3 left, 1 right (all three are the same)
2 left, 3 right or 3 left, 2 right (both are the same)
3 left 3 right

Thanks for the info. I did not do my springs, that was the one thing that I did not do on my car so far. I figure for the money I would spend on an install I could get a impact gun, sockets, and a breaker bar to do it myself. I will probably go that way.

I ended up taking my car to brake masters since they did my BBK and some other stuff for me and I have always been happy with them. They put them on in an hour and only charged me $85. Since I don't have access to a lift and did not want to spend the afternoon on the ground it was more than worth it.
