Wink drop

I'm dropping no more than 1.0". I did not install yet, but the G35 H-tech springs & D-Spec shocks/struts will give me this, I hope. I'm trying to maintain
stock ride with small drop & adjustable shocks. Stiffing too much here in the NE is not good for winter driving. can always adjust with stiffer settings. from what I read on this forum I shouldn't need a camber kit.

i was just about to get this setup but i wanted to see if i can get away without the dspecs. Let me know how the g35 Htech's are. I'm really interested in those because they are softer than stocks. keep us updated on how it rides

Hey ho (no pun intended),

According to the sticky, there's no mention of drop for the g35 h techs. It appear to be same height but softer springs...so if you're looking for a drop too then i wouldn't get these. just so you know.

I just did the h springs on my 03 coupe . There is a small drop...1/2 inch . The ride is NOT softer than stock . But not overly stiff . Im still on stock struts and have been thinking of going to the D-spec also . let us know how the combo turns out

Thumbs up installed

well i installed them, & its like its on railroad tracks. still adjusting the settings. am running at 4 turns out of full hard & thats just about as much as the roads in PA. will let me. may give the rear another 1/2 turn in (harder). car stays dead flat in the turns, but really notice when i step on the gas comming out, the rear tires dig in. stops the weight shift to the front when you gas it. had 75k on the oem shocks/struts so difference is evident.had them on 5 days and got min drop of only about 1/4 inch so far. don't know how long they will take to seat?

Are you able to adjust (all 4) the shocks and struts from up top with the Dspec?

yes. if you install the extensions with the rear shocks. i recieved the extensions with the kit from Creative Motorworks. you need to put the extension on the rear shocks [U]before installation.[U] a hole (no pun), needs to be enlarged to fit the exten. thru to the rear deck in the plastic cup for the child restraint anchor, once it is removed. fairly easy to do from the wheel well. this gives you adjustment to the rears from inside, & the fronts can be adjusted in the engine compartment.
The key is you have to install the rear extensions before installation. the fronts do not need extensions.

This is going to be my problem. I ordered the same set up (D Specs and Tein H-Tech for 350z) and had it installed yesterday. HOWEVER, it was yesterday I realized that the rear extensions never came with my order. So Creative is resending them and I'm going to have to get it installed after the fact. This better not run me another 3 hours labour.

I was told it would be pretty easy. See the following quote

No its pretty easy.

just jack the car up, unbolt the two 14mm at the top of the shock, then just compress the shock to pull it out, you can also just remove the bolt on the bottem.

here's a more detailed way to do it.
