Anyone else running Brembo blank OEM replacements on they're sedan?

Tirerack finally got in the stock the OEM replacement Brembo "blanks" for the non-Brembo equipped G35 and 350Z. They were only $57/ea which is $25-60 cheaper per rotor depending on how you order from at Infiniti/Nissan. I had Brembo blanks on my 96 Maxima and they were much better quality that OEM or other cheap aftermarket replacement. Is anyone else running these? I can't seem to find and posts about them.

The best easiest test is to accurately weigh new oem vs what you want to substitute.....The heaviest one is 99% the best one.

Accurate measurement to the gram or 1/4 ounce is significant!

Measure the solid edge thickness vs the air space in center vs inner edge thickness.

Lots of little tricks aftermarket does to save cost: less dense less quality cast iron, fewer cooling vents..........looks can be deceiving!

On my Maxima, the Brembo blanks were about 4 ounces heavier that the OEM pieces. Lots of guys ran them because they were cheaper than OEM and they tended to be far more resistant to warpage. I don't have an OEM G rotor to weigh against my new Brembos. My OEM rotors were absolutely toasted measuring in at .823 with 34K miles and I'm not a hard braker at all. Replacement is recommended at .866.

Many times performance [optimized stopping distance] OEM rotors will be made from a softer grade of cast iron to minimize noise when combined with a specific pad composition.

The only way to know is to try Brembo and see what happens ----accurate measurements frequently.

I like to find the optimum compositions to get 40,000 miles on rotors and 2 sets of pads comsummed in that period.

Had lots of practice with the same car [Q45] and 305,000 miles.
