hks rs coils or ls coils?! help me!
Hey guys!
I want coil overs but... i can't decide which one...
okay here's the situation.
I can get the hks rs's for cheap imo 400 under starting price.
and i can get the ls's but used, and they're only going to run me 700. but these have been used twice. so 2nd 2nd hand coils.
so guys help me! oh btw if i want the rs's i am going to wait a while but if i do, i ultimately might just go with flex's w/ edfc for it being more convenient... unless hks makes something like the edfc!
help! thanks all!

hahaha... jdbinspired is a member on the boards, he's currently slammed on HKS RS coilovers... but i dont think u wanna go that low... but anyway im also running the HKS RS coilovers too and the ride is awesome. hks doesnt have anything like the EDFC so u actually have to get out of the car to turn the *****.
here's a link if u wanna see jdb's g... he just got some new wheels:

First you need to ask yourself what is your goal? Do you want something purely for looks and lowering but still comfortable? Do you want something performance oriented for the track? Or do you want something in between?

RS: If you can say that you want performance, and yet you still want a decent amount of comfort.
In answering the "what would you do" question, I would not touch the LS because I know they'd be too soft for me, though I do know that something like the Tein Flex or Jics would be too stiff. (Just in case this matters, the HKS LS for the Z are not the same as the LS for the G35, valving is slightly stiffer IIRC and the rear spring rates are slightly higher).

hmmm nicely said thanks!
i think i might go with flex and edfc since it's more convenient...
however if a used RS comes around i might hop on that

i have the hks rs on my car right now.
these are awesome coilovers because like its stated before it gives you the performance you want and at the same time doesnt sacrifice your stock ride. get these imop.

Just beware that the Flex system is pretty damn stiff with 12K springs. The JDM spec version is a bit better at 10K springs. Keep that in mind and don't base your entire decision on the convienence of the EDFC controller.
