Satisfied Ceramics riding rough after 17,000 miles?

About 2 years and 15,000 miles ago, I replaced my OEM pads on my '03 coupe with Satisfied Ceramics. They have been fantastic and I have never had any problems with them until a few months ago. When the brakes are applied at an even pressure, there is a notable jerkiness. The best way to describe it is to imagine slowing down on very bumpy, undulating asphalt. It just feels awful, and as you come to a stop you can feel yourself coming to an unsteady and jerky halt. There is no squealing, but there is a sligh creaking sound (which you usually only hear when the brakes are cold and wet).

Is this rotor warping, worn out pads, or something else? I'm not a "hard" driver and don't take my car to the track or anything. Any ideas? I'm taking my car into service next week for the recall, will they say anything about the Satisfied pads when I mention the problem?

Uneven pad material layer on rotors , and possible warpage, plus pads and rotors are not covered especially when non oem parts are used.

Funky Marketing names like Satisfied, Endless, quick stop, ever stop, nopare, dustless, etc should be a serious warning to you.

Thanks for your input...so it's just time for new pads? Also, Satisfied is a long-established, respected company...not a funky marketing name for some anonymous brake pads.

What you describe is usually caused by warped rotors. Time for new ones!

^^ I agree completely...
I have Satisfied Pro ceramics with about 11K miles & love them.
They are wearing very well so far.
Pad wear is minimal, & they are very rotor fiendly.
Rotors (RacingBrake not OEM) have a nice smooth pattern, no grooving at all.

Yeah, I have a 2003 also and have satisfied ceramics on the front(the rears are still good from the warranty coverage). There is no problem at all with the rotors and the pads are lasting a VERY long time. They stop just fine, and no brake dust. They have 25,000 miles on them...still about 60% left. No uneven wear on the rotors at all.

Not nessasarilly so, there was a big thread on this not too long ago. This can also be caused by pad compound being imbedded in the rotors from heat. You still need to surface the rotors, but they MAY not be warped.
