How important is it to keep the width stagger?
I'll be getting an 06 6MT pretty soon but I have a set of Volk TE37 18x8.5 with Nitto555 235/40/18's on my old car that I'd like to use on the G35 too. I know they'll be a bit small since the sport wheels/tires are 40 series on 19" wheels, so maybe I'll get some new tires (245/45). But even if I do or dont, will they work?
I've searched and seen some people say it's cool to run all the same size all the way around and some say you should keep the stagger because of the VCD. The wheels/tires are staggered in width, so how does that effect anything? Sorry for the ignorant question, but I guess I'm not sure exactly how the VCD works and how tire width would affect it.

Are you sure they are gonna fit? What are the offsets? It's okay to run same size all around but you need to keep the diameters same as the stock setup. So it would mean either running 225/45/18 and 245/45/18 or 245/40/18 and 245/45/18. I would personally not run 275/40/18 in rear on 8.5 inch wheel because the tire is simply too wide for the wheel. You gotta know that the 18s will look TINY on our cars as our cars, though.
