Axxis Ultimate Ceramic & EBC Sport Rotors

Hey everyone, I installed new EBC Sport Rotors, along with Axxis Ultimate Ceramic pads last weekend. I bedded the pads according to the manufacturers break in procedures, but I notice that after the install a feathering type noise, i can't really describe it but it wasnt normal. It was as if the surface of the pad wasnt making proper contact with the rotor. I've read on the forums about how the EBC rotors are decent rotors but they made a swooshing sound due to the slots coming down all the way to the edge of the rotor. Anyways I was fed up with the noise and today I pulled the pads out and replaced them with Hawk HPS pads, and now voila no more noise. I've taken pictures of the pads and you can see that the area of contact it would make with the rotor is pretty small. The outer edges kind of slant downward as if they shaved down the pads surface. why it's designed this way i dont know. I would like to get my money back $114 and some change wasnt too bad for front and rear, but I could not stand the noise, you could actually hear it on the freeway especially when driving next to other cars. It was embarrassing. What do you guys think I ordered these from Import Replacement Parts, on the back of the invoice it states that they dont accept parts that have been used, but i deem these parts defective, any thoughts thanks everyone, long post i had to vent

not sure if they would give you your money back on used parts, but worth a shot

Why did you decide to go with the EBC Sport rotors? I know it's still early but are you happy with your decision thus far?

Well I decided to go with these rotors, because of the price. They cost me $290.70 shipped. I think that’s a pretty good deal. As far as the quality, I think that they are holding up pretty well, now that I put the hawk pads in. I haven’t heard good nor bad reviews on these particular rotors. And they look better than stock, although it would have been nice to have them actually drilled instead of dimpled. Other than that I’m happy. If you have heard anything about these rotors good or bad let me know.
