Stoptech Aerorotor 2-piece Rotors!

Hey guys,

I just called performance nissan to order some brake pads. Instead, the CSR was telling me about how they have a very rare in stock stoptech replacement rotor especially made for our brembos. you can see the rotors here:

http://www.stoptech.com/products/rotors.shtml

He said he had the two piece rotors in stock. I'm not too familiar with rotors but he said this will make a huge difference in heat dissipation and acceleration of the car due to the fact that the rotors are lighter than the brembo rotors. he quoted me $545 for the front and $662 for the rear.

I got 34k miles on my 03 G w/ Brembos and he said that if I wanted to change brake pads, I might as well change them in addition changing my rotors. Is he just trying to sell the product or do we typically need to change our rotors, resurface, or rotate the rotors at around 30K miles? I don't want to spend over a grand on something I don't need to do. Any comments fellow members?

Whether or not you can fully utilize the added heat capacity increase of our AeroRotors depends on what you are doing with the car. On the track our AeroRotors are a significant improvement over the stock pillar vein design by flowing much more air to dissipate heat. The overall weight savings of the rotors is just over 10 pounds of rotating mass which can also be beneficial especially if paired with lightweight wheels. If you feel these benefits will be useful to you then you will be very happy with the upgrade.

More info regarding our 350Z/G35 track model rotors available here:
