Brakes pedal is stuck!?

Ok, so I encountered a wierd problem with my G35 today and I want to see if anybody has experienced this. Drove the car all morning with no problems, went to lunch, came out, turned on the car and I had no brakes. Now I have a super stiff pedal, but it feels like there is a rock stuck behind it keeping me from pushing the pedal any further than 1/4". I turned the car off and let it sit for a sec, turned it back on and its the same thing. All belts inside the engine bay are present, the power steering works, and everything else is working fine. I got home and disconnected the battery for 6 hours and when I re-connected it, its still the same way. I am stumped because usually when a part of the brake system fails you get a really soft pedal. Something is keeping the lines from getting enough pressure to push the pads in. Any ideas?

Figured it out. It was a kinked vaccum hose. Easy fix, everything is ok now. I am going to go to the auto parts store tomorrow to get another hose, this time a little longer just to be safe.

Forgot who it was but someone had the same problem... he had just got his Stillen SC kit installed.. and one of the techs pinched a vacuum hose... which encounter the same problem... glad you found the problem !!!

^^^LOL, I just got my Stillen SC installed yesterday as well. The hose that was kinked runs from the supercharger to the battery compartment. It seems that the factory hose is just a tad bit too short and you have to stretch it some to get it on there. Thats why I am going to make a longer one tomorrow. Thank god its an easy fix.

Thats for sure. I am glad I was not in a situation where I would have wrecked the car when it first happened.
