***SOLD***07 G35 Sport Brake System
***SOLD***
I installed Akebono calipers, racing brake rotors and SS lines... SO I have my OEM parts left over and will not need. I'm selling the following:
Front Calipers w/ Brake Lines and pads
Rear Calipers w/ Brake Lines and pads
Additional set of Rear pads with about 80% left
Rear Rotors in good condition that match the pads with 80% left.
These are all in great condition, there was no shake or anything like that. The rotors are not warped!
Feel free to ask any questions, travis.kula@gmail.com
Shipping is available at your expense, local pick up is preferred. Asking $120

This is why they are being sold

Ill_G they will if you buy the extenders... its a part you need for the calipers to fit. forgot the name sorry.
but at 125 cant go wrong. but i would just say hold on to them incase you ever sell your G, you can easily swap out... my 2 cents.

I think 2 piston?
I thought the sport was larger rotors and 2 piston v 1? I'll probably do one of 3 things with my G: 1) drive it into the ground and part of and trash 2) sell soon as is 3) trade parts + cash
But space in my garage is MUCH more important to me than the money/swap out later.
thanks for your input

There seems to be some growing confusion among people about sport brakes on the V36 sedans; particularly the early G35 V36 sedans. The fact is that at the time, back in '07 and '08, the "SPORT" brakes were indeed different than the regular brakes, they were a larger mono piston type with a 330mm x 32mm front rotors (FR) and 330mm x 16mm (RR) as opposed to the 'regular' brakes which were 2 piston fronts and single piston rears measuring 320mm x 28mm (FR) and 308mm x 16mm (RR). (reference: 2007 FSM, section BR, page 62) Furthermore, in '07 and '08, the ONLY models that had these brakes were the "SPORT" models. (reference: http://infinitihelp.com/models/2007/...ifications.php )
It wasn't until 2008 when the G37 coupes arrived that the Akebono BBK became the current "SPORT" brakes for the coupe, and even then it wasn't until 2009, with the introduction of the G37 sedan, that the Akebonos became the "SPORT" brakes for the sedan. Upon that change-up with the 2009 model year, the original sedan 'sport' brakes were dropped for the larger Akebonos. On a side note, those early 'sport' brakes from '07 -'08 became the 'regular' brakes on the G37 coupe when it came out in '08.
In summary, there have been 3 different types of brakes on the V36 sedans. the original 'regulars' (which continue to this day), the first 'sports' (discontinued from sedans in '09, but became the regulars for '08+ coupes), and the current Akebono 'sports' for both sedans and coupes. Therefore, it is entirely within reason to call this set of brakes derived from an '07 G35S "sport" brakes. The context is time dependent.
In closing, I'd offer that the OP's price on these brakes is nothing short of fantastic; far cheaper than even a simple brake job on either a 'regular' or an early 'sport". If I didn't have new brakes, I'd be all over them myself. OP, Good luck with your sale.

Those are G35 Sedan (V36) Sport brakes, plain and simple! I think it causes a problem when they are referred to as "regular", because then how do you distinguish them from the brakes of the non-Sport models which are truly REGULAR !?!
All I mean is that these are 'regular' (1 piston) per caliper front brakes, not 2-piston per caliper .... (if the 1st picture is the actual picture of the brakes)
In my understanding people on this forum refer to '2-piston' brakes as 'Sport', and '1-piston' brakes as 'Standard/Regular' ......... I apologize for making confusion on your FS thread, but from looking at the pictures, it looks like you are selling 'Standard/Regular' front calipers.
btw, nice Akebono's
..... and GLWS, that's a very good price

Yeah, that's definitely incorrect. The true 'regular' brakes have two small pistons, and the Sports have one larger mono-piston arrangement.

All, I'm getting a lot of pm's/emails... $120 is a steal, I won't go lower... As for shipping, it is roughly $150 due to the weight... $120 pick up and $250 shipped are final prices and WILL NOT be lowered
