If the OP wants a brand new set of calipers, go and pay 3k for a new set. With any used part, there will be imperfections and hiccups. Sounds like HiTech is doing his end to make it right.

 

I will provide a complete detailed update as soon as we come to resolution. I believe we are close.

 

Let's all hold off on making assumptions if you aren't familiar with all the details or the personal history of either of us. I am aware of the risk of the used part market - however, details on the application should be understood.

Used or New, it should function. period. Yes, it does appear that HiTech will do what's right and as I mentioned, disclosure will happen upon resolution.

 

OK - so, this issue has been resolved. HiTech responded accordingly and we have completed our resolution. I was not aware of some of the phone issues he was having, hence the lack of prompt response that had me concerned.

Just so everyone is aware of what the issue was/is: the rear drivers caliper bleeder screws were so siezed that upon removal of the screw, the internal threads on the caliper molded into the threads of the screw - thus rendering any remaining thread left in the caliper, useless -- new bleeder screws would simply not withstand the pressure of 900-1000psi before spewing brake fluid.

These calipers are being placed into a Spec Z Race Car -- having comfort that the brakes will be available when they are depressed, is of upmost concern.

HiTech provided resolution very timely, once we were able to connect -- he is as honest and trustworthy as I would have expected -- I would not hesitate to conduct additional transactions with him.
