What price to pay for 06 Coupe?

Hey guys, I am brand new to this forum. I have not bought the G35 yet, but I am considering it. Actually I have narrowed down my choice to either the G35 or the Lexus IS350. I am still undecided. My question is what is a fair price to pay for a new 06 G35 Coupe? MSRP with all of the options I am looking for is approximately 42k. How much above invoice should i pay for this vehicle? The 07 Coupe is not coming out until next summer according to the dealer. The sedan will be out in November but the coupe will not be out til next year. So I am thinking about going ahead and getting this one. I am a member of several other forums and I do know how to use the search feature. I just spent a couple of hours looking around and either couldn't find what I was looking for or it was outdated information. So any opinions would be helpful. Thank you in advance for your help.

Follow that and you will be happy. I got my car for $100 over invoice by using those tips in that article.

I had my car delivered from 100 miles away because, in the bay area there is alot more competition and alot more room to negotiate with him. There is one dealership in sacramento and told me they couldnt come close to what I wanted, so I said f off. called a dealership in the bay area and got what i wanted easy.

I said INVOICE, not MSRP. I have never and will never pay MSRP for a car - no matter what car. I actually really like the stock 19" rims. The car will get tinted but that is purely from a practical point of view.

Thanks for the tip Keaj. I took a look and already knew most of what they were saying in th thread, but I was real curiosu as to what price, recently, some may have paid for a new one. Thanks again.

Hey man,
I picked up my 06 coupe in December for $35,900 - that was with the premium package, sunroof, nav, intelligent key, etc...which was a couple thousand below invoice.

Wow, a couple thousand below invoice is great. Not sure how you worked that. I have done the research and there are no incentives, rebates, etc and as far as I know the dealer isn't making that much in hold back. Awesome deal! Congrats. I am hoping to get it for right around invoice.

invoice on an 06 MT is $31,084, so with premium package and other options it would be about 33-34 depending if you get nav, etc.

35.9 is certainly not below invoice. someone correct me if wrong.

also i paid 35.5 for my 06 MT with premium and sport packages. this was below MSRP and above invoice. I think i got a fair deal but I probably could have tried harder and knocked another 500-1000 off.

I just leased my 2k6 Coupe AT, Premium package, Sport package, Trunk mat, and Sirus Radio. MSRP was 38,900 and the lease was based off 35,700 - which I think was about 500 over invoice. The lease is 428/Month 12k/yr and 24 months just 2850 due at signing.

when you mention the IS350 and the GS though both are sport luxury. they arent not near the same price range. Invoice on a IS350, and realize with the 350 you must select a "package". The car totals at about 42-43k opposed to the possible 35k for a G. Unfortunately, at this point the IS 350 is overpriced opposed to the older IS 300.

That will most likely depends on what "package" yo do get, if just with Premium pkg which including the following...

•Perforated Leather Seat Trim .•Heated & Ventilated Front Bucket Seats .• Lexus Memory System .• Includes driver's and front passenger's seat 3-position memory..• Includes 10-way power adjustable driver's and front passenger's seat (power fore/aft slide, recline, front and rear vertical cushion height and 2-way power lumbar) with 2-way manual headrest adjustment and rear armrest storage..•Bird's Eye Maple Interior Trim.

The MSPR with it is only 37320, apperently you could get one for about 3k or more off MSRP now, even if you do get sport pkg? the MSRP on it, its only 39725. which isnt all that much over G35 coupe.

I've heard the IS350's are averaging 6days on the dealer lot before being sold. And that they won't go a penny below MSRP. If you really want the IS350 (nice car) I'd wait till next year when the sales cool off you'll be able to get a better deal.

Sorry that isnt true at all, while yes they might be hard to keep them in-stock but if you look/shop around? you will find that most of them are going 3k or more off MSRP even for custom ordered, I take quick peek over at clublexus? here are couple of posts I copy over...
