Bose vs Non

How does the Bose system compare to non in 06 coupes? Is it really worth ~$1500 or would that money be better spent on a custom system?

In response to the actual thread question:

I don't know about '06 models.. but I'm pretty sure that they are the same as the '05s.

I DO NOT have the BOSE system.

Bass quality is not as good as the PREMIUM PKG.. but for any average joe it's OK.

My friend has the PREMIUM PKG with BOSE. Packs a meaner punch since there's 2 extra speakers in the back. It's decent, but definitely not worth the money in my honest opinion.

As of right now I kind of wish I DID get the PREMIUM Pkg b/c I still haven't upgraded anything regarding my sound system, but eventually I will be getting a sub, box, amp, and later down the road a double din screen.

If you have the money to spend on a custom system, I'd definitely do that over getting the premium package. I think the standard Infiniti speakers are decent enough.. all you really need is a SUB & AMP. Hope this helps.

It's not really worth $1500 but that's how much you pay.

If you don't mind going through the process of getting your system installed elsewhere, you're better off spending the money on an aftermarket system. It should sound much better than the Bose system.

custom system... can you get premium and not get bose? I don't know if you'll find a bose system in a car that doesn't have the premium package. It might end up costing you more money for a special order. Just a thought

The only way to get bose as far as i can tell is with the premium package which adds ~2500$ to the car. This includes the sunroof which I want, but you can get that separately for 850 w/o premium. Besides bose and the bluetooth integration, I dont really see any reason to spend 1500 extra for premium...

When I got mine, the dealership didn't have an Ivory without the premium so they gave the whole thing free rather than walking me. Other than the Bose system I enjoy all the other premium features. Bose system is slighlty better than the non bose system but not worth the money imho. You are better off saving the money and getting a aftermarket system. Wish Infinti put in a Harman Kardon system for premium.

well 1500 extra for premium, i like what you get with it, you get the memory seats, the homelink/dimming mirror, in the sedan you get the rear vents, dual climate controls, and my fave..the intelligent key!
