Everyone -

I have a 2005 g35 Coupe and I am looking to get out of the lease. The car is only 9 months old. The lease is for 39 months. I live in NY and am looking to move to the city - so the car will not be nessasary.

What is the best way of getting out of the lease without paying a lot of $$$$? I know a lot of you will say to sell it private but I was just wondering how much it would cost if I go through the dealer.

I don't really think there is a way, you're screwed...

 

You can have someone take over your lease for the remainder of the term. They get a relatively new car with no money down and you're off the hook. Here in Canada is the best way, but not sure if you can do the same in the USA, but I can't see why not.

call up IFS for the payoff amount and have someone purchase your car privately. you will lose some $$ so expect that
