I have an 06 coupe bought it in Dec of 05 for $250 over invoice. I'm helping my friend to buy a coupe, went to the dealership where I bought my G and talked to my contact who's the fleet mgr and he told my friend and I that he could get the same deal.
My question is, which I asked him and never got a straight answer is when will the new 07 coupes arrive at the dealerships. He was vague in saying that when the restyle in mid-year of 07. This started to make me think, so here is the dumb question......the early 07 G's are probably going to be exactly the same as the 06 since Nissan would be retooling for the restyle. Those first G's would they be considered as an 07 year? I'm wondering when and if Nissan would make the year change with the coupes, could it in 06 when the new 07 sedan debuts?
The reason for this question is my friend definitely wants a G but is in no rush, so if in fact they will make a year change it would probably be prudent for him to wait. One year newer car helps the resale value. When I bought mine in Dec of 05, they still a few new 05 left but the difference in price was only $2K, so I opted to buy an 06.
Nissan can't designate all G's with the current body style as an 06 up until mid year of 07 when the new Gs come out, can they? The registration on the car has to show when it was manufactured, so if they are still producing the current body style in 07 they would have to be considered as an 07?
Sorry, for the long drawn out story........

search and the 2007 coupes look identical to 2006 while in august 2007 the 2008 model will come out which is redesigned.... not a mid year change but really considered a full model year upgrade
