Turned out to be a good thing, as I am having 2nd thoughts. I definitely don't want a car for 3+ years (I have my '06 coupe for 7 months, and am already looking at new cars), and I'll kick myself if something I want more is announced prior to the expiration of my current lease on June 30 (read: the '08 coupe may turn out to be too SICK to pass up). I got the hots for the G35X Sedan because of AWD and winter, but it's since cooled off--although admittedly, it may be the smart purchase, and I may come back to it later in the spring. Haven't driven my '06 coupe much of late, given the cold weather/summer tire combo, and strangely, I have been finding a weird sort of pleasure driving my "new" station car, which is an '01 Civic. I forgot what it was like to just park a car without worrying about being too close to mommy's minivan or having to park 1/2 mile away at the mall. Say what you will about Hondas, they are freaking solid--even this 6 year old car with over 100K on it! The Honda puts me in a weird, but good situation, in that when my lease expires, I won't have to have a new car lined up already. When I return my coupe, it will have less than 4K on it, as it is essentially a weekend car--and I don't go anywhere with it (to and from the gym, and maybe the mall). Of course, in my wife's logical mind, she can't figure out why I can't make do with the Honda (which I foresaw as an issue when I got it).
