2007 G35C 15month lease deal - is this good?
Just wanted to start off by saying that this would be my first lease as I have always bought my cars for cash before.
Right now Infiniti is running this 15 months lease special deal on G35C.
I live in Los Angeles and this is their quote:
"The lease promotion we're currently running is $1899 + drive offs, $299 + tax for 15 months at 12k miles/year. The models on this promotion are base and an automatic transmission without a premium package.
Drive-offs include the acquisition fee, doc & tire fee, license, first payment, and tax on the down. Sales tax is calculated on where you reside so if you're in Los Angeles county, then 8.25% applies."
I know some people say that they put zero down... I don't mind paying something upfront as long as overall pictures (my total payments over the lease term are good).
Is this a good deal? Can I get a better deal? if so, please let me know what type of deals people are getting.
I really appreciate everyones imput.

u can definately do better... because this deal is based of the MSRP of the car.... and the 07 being the last in line before the re-designed coupe comes through.... you can get it much closer to invoice.... so in short... you dont need to put any thing down (except the taxes if you want to) and you should be able to get the above deal.
the difference between the MSRP - Invoice price.... should be around the down payment asked by the dealer... which should offset the price.

I've got mine about a month ago. You can see my signature for the car I've go. The deal was $2000 drive-off + $415 (after tax) a month, 12k miles/year. I know it's not the best deal after all, but I am happy with it.

Ok, I'm going to stop by a few dealerships this weekend to see what they can do. I want to present them this:
G35C auto with premium. I live in LA, so we have 8.25% tax rate.
Total drive off (including all the fees, taxes, etc...) $2,000
monthly payments (including the tax) $300
Please, if someone has been able to get this (especially in S. CA regioin) let me know if it is doable.
Thanks in advance.

In some sense it is a good deal... couple of issues I feel are:
1. You will be driving a car which will be the older generations before you know it.
2. I would still consider it if the $4500 can be brought considerably down.

LOL
This is why I think it is dumb to get into this monthly payment nonsense.
Figure out how long you want to have the car for.
Negotiate the purchase price, and get the best deal you can.
Negotiate the residual/MF, and get the best deal you can.
Comparison shop at area dealers and repeat.
Now you finally know if you got a good deal. It really isn't that complicated (for the non math challenged)
If you are not mentally able to figure out your own monthly payment, you should not be leasing a car. Just do a straight finance, which at least most people can understand (price/APR)

Please let me know if this is good or not.

the deal you mentioned i did some calculations I assumed the car is 33k, if this is the case then u'd be paying 7350 total, about 5800 per year. towards the end of the lease you'd end up paying 22% of car value (assumed 33k). I do not know if you are comfortable with those figures but I thought it gives you more visibility if you see those numbers. I personally do not think it's a bad deal. But you can always ask for more, like as for more miles, ask for more packages, keep asking for more but with the price fixed.
