lease return inspection question

Hey guys,

I am about to end my lease on my G. How thorough and stringent are the lease inspections? The reason I ask is I had backed into a pole a few months back maybe going 1 or 2mph. I had a few paint marks but got it buffed out without a problem. The imprint of the impact is really really hard to see unless you look very closely. Is this something they will be able to detect? If so, what kind of charges would I be looking at?

Thanks in advance.

I doubt they will even notice it, plus they waive the first $500 of damage beyond what is not 'normal wear and tear'.
I had a Maxima that I turned in, and I had done the same thing on the front bumper, and it left a vertical crease in the plastic, they didnt even say anything about it, plus i had a few door dings too. $0 damage.

wow.... i had the same issue on my Gcoupe a couple of months back... i got the paint out from the pole i backed into... what a conincedence... and i had the same fears that the leasing company will take me for a ride.

but i think i lucked out... they didnt charge me anything at all... just the desposition fee... and a little over the mileage that i had gone.

i think you should be able to go free as it would be considered normal wear and tear from my experience.
