Stupid Bank...

Went to a credit union and they said I was denied because I only have like one year worth of Credit History. That was the only problem. Now I have to co-sign which is sometime I wasn't hoping would happen.

I don't know if I'd call the bank "stupid" for that one, but they do have to protect themselves. 1 year isn't a lot of credit history. Anyway, shop around, but with just 1 year of history, you might be getting a high interest rate....Of course, a good co-signer makes that a moot point....

one year of car credit history? Or have you been in the bureau for one year.

I'm a finance manager for a car dealership. Let me give you some tips, just need more info.

One year with the bureau. They said my income is ok, and the price of the car wasn't a problem. They said I needed about 18 months of credit history in order to give me the loan. This will be my first car.

Just try and get a loan with whatever bank will approve you. Then after 6-9 months when your credit is a little better go and refinance with a better credit union thats what I did and it was great!

try the dealer as well... they are offering better rates than the banks or credit unions.

my credit union is also acting crazy in giving loans... it used to be much easier but now they have many different rules.

Got approved with my co-signer @ 6.30 percent.

But I'm going to try out the dealer and see if I can qualify on my own at a better rate.
