Thinking of leasing a G35x

All,

I am considering leasing a G35x Sedan with the Premium and Navigation Packages. I received a quote from a local dealer for $36,200 plus tax and plates. After looking on edmunds and through some of the threads on this site, this seems like a pretty good price. I am curious as to how to proceed with the deal. I don't want to get screwed on a lease. I really want to spend $400-$450 a month.

Any advice from people who have done this before is greatly appreciated.

I just went through edmunds and had them get quotes for me from local dealers. I did it all via email and had the dealers compete with one another for the best price. My car had an MSRP of about $40,200 with all the options in my sig. My price after taxes, tags, and fees was $37,797.

Since you know that price is "pretty good", use some lease calculator, plug the numbers in, and get yourself good idea what your monthly payment should be...

Use these number as guide...

2007 Infiniti G35 X Sedan
24 Month – Residual 67% of MSRP – .00169 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 57% of MSRP – .00207 Base Rate
48 Month – Residual 45% of MSRP – .00238 Base Rate
60 Month – Residual 36% of MSRP – .00254 Base Rate

Residuals posted are for 15K miles/year. Add 2% to Residual for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k mi/yr on all terms
Plug the numbers in at this stie...
