"How does this price sound" + Questions

I test drove a 2005 G35x Sedan at the local dealer. It's got about 24,000 miles on it and the dealer's asking for $27900. The body looks very nice and the interior is pretty clean. What do you all think of that price, I think I'd rather (of course) get it down to $24-25K (before license and taxes and etc)

Some of the reviews I've read have said things about the brakes going out quickly or it burning through oil, what are some other issues? I live about 100 miles from the nearest Infiniti dealership, and there is still time/miles left on the warranty. I could go there if necessary, but I don't want to have to make a regular habit of it.

Also, I'm tall (6'4, 195cm), and while I fit fine in the car, it was a bit more cozy than I'm used to. I was wondering if there are any other tallish folk here with experience in the G35 who can either put to rest or throw gasoline on my fears. I don't want to look like "Big guy in a little car".

Also, the dealer has an 04 G35 MT Sedan w/ about 24K miles asking $24,900. Does this sound like it's better/more worth looking into?

Thanks!

The 05 is way better than the 04 in my opinion(The 05 interior is soooo much better). I also think the 08 is way better than the 05. However, if you want to buy it used then I would get an Automatic 05 Sport sedan. I have heard some of the manual transmissions had problems. Also I am not sure if the “X” models had the revised brake pads that didn’t wear out as fast.

I have an Automatic 05 Sport Sedan that still has the original brakes, a new set of tires, and has never had any problems at all. It is a really fine car. Want to buy mine so I can go get an 08?

Oh yea I am 6’4” also. I fit in the car just fine. However, I am only about 158 lb so the width is not an issue for me.
