Price on New 2006 G35?

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to buy a G35 and came across a deal on a 2006 Sedan that is brand new / never been titled. Details on the car are below:

2006 G35 Sedan 6MT
Premium Package A
Splash Guards

MSRP was just over 35K and the car has obviously been sitting on the dealers lot for over a year. Any ideas on what a fair price would be taking into account how much new G35's are and the used car market?

When i was buying my coupe i came accross a few 06's that were brand new and still on the lots early this year. the dealers were giving $4500 off MSRP. Since this is a sedan and the new body has been out for more then a year i would suggest you go for at least 5k off.

you should look at price relative to invoice, not MSRP. should be paying at least 1k under invoice if not more. dealer should be motivated to move the vehicle

Wait a minute. The 08 sedans are out. I saw 5 of them the other day! An 06 sedan is already 2 model years old. I don’t care if it has never been titled or not. The price of it should be right inline with a used 06 sedan with the same miles on it. How many miles does it have?

Honestly, you are crazy to buy that car when they are wheeling and dealing on 07 and possibly 08s. The new car is that much better! If you absolutely must buy the 06 car then I would be thinking more like $10K off instead of $4K off.

Think about using a kbb or edmunds used price and plug 5k miles and then offer a couple grand more (depending on how realistic those book values turn out to be). Once you drive off the lot with it, you just have a mint 2 y.o. G under yer butt.
