Purchasing a G35 vs G37

What are your thoughts on these cars? I was checking out the G35's today, and I saw a G37 and instantly fell inlove. With the options I want it's $43k about but I'm assuming I can talk them down. It will cost about $10k more because I would be purchasing a 05-06 G35 rather then brand new.

Any thoughts or complaints would help. Thanks.

Get either of them, you'll be happy most definitely.

I'm wondering how much the dealer will drop from $43k If I do it through online since its rainy season and such right now I'm assuming this is the best time to buy one of these.

get the g35 and boost it with the extra money you saved....ive heard the g37 is too refined now, like its lost a lot of its character. i personally like my cars to have personality, so the g37 would be out for me. ive driven it, and its not THAT much faster. the interior is sweet, but the exterior leaves much to be desired.

From a thread over at Myg37.com? ppl are getting their G37 right around invoice as of late.

There are also rebats of 1k, if you currently owns/leased an Infiniti, or 500 if you dont.

how does a car has personalities? i didnt know that a car can breath. define "refined" please. so, you go on people saying that the g37 is too refined? and you believe them? what if i say go jump off a bridge, would you jump? the g37 is better than the g35 in all categories. get the g37, you can get it around 500 above invoice.

yes a car def. has personality...i dont mean human personality moron. every car behaves a certain way. the older g's are rough around the edges, like the suspension is hard, the manual transmission isnt "perfect" etc. and a lot of people like that in the older g...it gives the car a certain PERSONALITY. and refined means that it isnt rough around the edges. the g35 is the younger in your face brother, while the g37 is the more sophisticated and refined brother. make any sense? and im not basing my OPINION on what other people have said, i stated in my post i have driven the car and i have an 07 sedan. i know how the car behaves. yes the g37 is better in all categories, but in doing so the car has lost some of its raw feel. a lot of people agree.

^^ A lot of people agree that it is much more refined, but most don't agree that its a bad thing...

If I'm not mistaken, most people always COMPLAINED about the lack of refinement in the G35C, now that the G37S is much more refined, its a bad thing? I don't get some people...

BTW, G37S will outhandle a G35C any day, the suspension in the sport is awesome, very hard yet smooth at the same time... I know I feel MUCH more confident taking a corner in the G37S than I did w/ my 03 Coupe.

I plan to buy the G35S. I would like to get the G37S but for 12k+ I cant come to the point to spend that much more for close to the same thing.

you are absolutely right..but as i stated it was my opinion. my argument is i dont think its worth the price jump for a car that is just more refined. the g35 is still a lot of fun.

If the price difference is an issue, perhaps you can save a bit more until you purchase or even wait a year (if you can) until there are some used G37's on the market. You can save a lot of money that way.

Anyway, between the G37 and G35c, get the car you really want or else you'll regret it in the end. But IMHO, I'd get the G37 because I think it's better that G35c in every which way (well, looks are subjective), there aren't many on the road, and when the next redesign comes out in a handful of years, the G37 will be still be considered fairly recent whereas the G35c will be just be old.
