Long time lurker, few times poster.
The lease on my '05 Sedan is up in July, and the expectation of the new drive train, make an '08 a non-option. I expect the '09 will be available in the Oct-Nov timeframe. Any brilliant ideas?
One person has told me that I can go "month-to-month" on my lease for a few months until the '09 arrives. I have never heard of this, but would be a nice option
It is a Nissan lease, have VPP available to me, and I am well below my alloted mileage.

The best way is to call up your leasing company and ask them about that "month to month" or perhaps they can extend it for 3~6 more months..

i would talk to the dealer and the finance company.
you probably can get one of them to extend the lease month-to-month.
If the finance company does not want to do that (or can't) speak with a dealer and tell them your story. if you are buying your next car from them they will often help you out.g/l

the dealer has no ability to extend the lease.
Save yourself the trouble and just call your finance company.
