I have a 2003 Acura CL Type-S 6MT currently and I'm in the process of selling it right now and I'm seriously considering the following cars, looking to spend under $21K:

- 2004 G35 coupe
- 2004 350Z
- 2004 BMW 330ci / 330i / 330xi
- 2004 Acura TL
- 2005 Audi A4

I am currently driving a 6-speed and I'd really like to get an automatic basically to get me AWAY from heavy performance modding and just to not have to worry about shifting, etc.

My current car being 6-speed with intake/headers/crank pulley pulls pretty hard especially up top / on the highway.

How is the G35 coupe realistically on gas? And what kind of 1/4 mile potential does the automatic have vs. the 6-speed? Of course everyone is going to tell me to get the 6-speed I'm sure but overall is the automatic transmission strong? Or will it crap out if driven hard?

Are there any known problems of the '04 G35 coupe after 50K miles?

What kind gas mileage does the G35 coupe realistically get? Because my buddy with an '04 TL says the Acura gets better gas mileage hands down after owning a 350Z previously.

Any advice would be great!

If you are at all worry about gas mileage then the G is not for you.

 

my older brother has a 03 Acura Cl-TypeS too but its automatic..he only has 51,--- on it...but yea what kao1 said the G aint to good on gas..expect to fill up every 5 days..since i drive in the city i get horrible mileage..but out of those 5 choices id definetly pick THE G35!!!!
