Lease turn in wheels & tires
Lease turn in wheels & tires
I currently have two Infinitis... '07 G35S, and an '08 G37S... Getting divorced and since I'm on both cars (she is on one) she pretty much left me with both leases as she claims she can't afford hers. For practicality reasons I need to keep the '07 G35S (also for early termination costs reasons, it's cheaper to terminate the lease on the G37), but its getting to the point it needs tires (G35) The G37 tires are perfect, but the wheels are a little scratched... the G35 wheels are perfect, but the tires are getting bad... and I love the 19s... I was kind of curious... do they really note what wheels are on the car? I mean as long as the tread is good, and it has stock Infiniti wheels... will they note what wheels are on the car? (19s versus 18s??). They have the exact same tires, just obviously different sizes...
Just curious. I need to check the tread depth on the G35S tires anyway just to make sure they'd pass inspection.
Thanks,
Kaz

When you notify the leasing company that you will be doing the early termination of the lease, they will contact a third party to schedule an inspection appointment. During the inspection, they are looking for damage or wear above normal use. Inspectors will even come to the work place to conduct the inspection. The inspector may or may not notice the different wheels as they are both OEM but you're also going to be given a vehicle drop off point which is usually a dealership which will do a final walk around a quick inspection. They may very well notice the difference in wheels. As for the tires, you can always pick up a cheap used set that has tread within limits of the inspection. They don't need to be OEM but they do need to be the same likeness.
