Buying 2005 G35 Coupe MT, Avoid??

I'm looking for a new car and I think the G35 Coupe MT sounds good. I found a used one at a dealership, but after reading this board, I am hesitant.

I noticed the "engine oil is low" issue and the valve cover replacement/oil seeping into the spark plugs issue.

Is there anything else I should look out for??

My alternatives are a 2005 or newer: Acura TL or A4 with V6.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

From: Waltham Ma,
How many miles on the G? I would be careful of the low oil issue sounds like previous owner did not care to much about it. You could tell the dealer to fix it and them buy it or keep shopping. I would stick with a G over the other two cars you mentioned.

know that you can get your engine replaced under warranty if you do have the oil consumption issue. though you gotta make sure the car you're about to purchase is still under warranty

<30k miles on it.
How can I know if it has the issue? What exactly must be done to fix it?
Both issues fall under the 7 year/70k powertrain warranty, correct?

Not all 6mts have that problem. I have a 06 manual and mines running well. My other friends have manuals and there is no problem. If your buying it at the dealership, they are going to take care of you.

basically the issue is the vehicle consumes more oil than normal. so check it often, check the dipstick. i personally don't have a g yet (i'm in iraq right now so i'm still kinda new with g's) but from what i understand is the dip sticks suck for some reason. i think the g's also come with an oil meter indicator but from what i've read it could be off sometimes. you could always have the dealer test out the car for the problem. they know all about it it's been around for awhile. if you do turn in the car to the dealership to get the problem fixed they'll replace your whole engine for no cost and i heard that infiniti also gives out loaners. for my buddy's buddy it took a week to replace the engine.
