Question Value Of an 05 G35x

I tested a G35x today and my wife fell in love with it immediately. I have to admit that I liked it too. I have not bought a used car for some time and am not sure what a reasonable price is.

I think it would be classed as a G35x "premium aero".
It seems to have all the options except nav, has 109000 KM (about 68000 miles), the interior is about a 9/10 which is very important to me. The exterior is mixed. There are no dings or dents, but it does have a couple minor scratches on the sides.

The front bumper is significantly scuffed to the point that the paint is rubbed off and the underlying plastic is rough in about four spots. It is not cracked or punctured. The dealer said it would cost about $400 to sand and refinish the bumper.
That sounds reasonable to me.

All the glass looks good, it runs well, I'm betting the tires only have about 10000 miles on them.
The engine turns about 2800-3000 rpm cruising at about 65-70 mph. Is that normal?
The shifting quality seemed excellent. Then again I drive an 06 Dakota...

The window tag said $24900 Canadian but it is listed online for $18900 ($15400 USD). What do you think a reasonable deal is? I was thinking of offering $17k and meeting somewhere around 17.5? ($14-14.5 USD).

Thanks a lot for your help. The used car dealer that has it isn't open again until Monday. I (and my wife) would love to go in properly armed, but I don't want to insult anyone either.

Chris

I wouldn't think its worth more than $13k US. KBB.com for pricing

With the current economy, you should be paying less than private party value for the car.

Good/Fair KBB lists that car for around $11.5k.

Good luck

68000k with no nav? i wouldn't pay full price. Haggle until you're at the point of walking out the front door empty handed and thats when you know u got the right price.

Thanks for the tips guys!

It seems the Calgary economy isn't as bad as most. He only went about half way and he had had the car since mid November. I bought it anyway. Afterward he gave me a three month warranty. I don't know if it is of any value, it is some third-party thing.

Overall the feeling was good for a used car buying experience. The bumper paint is being fixed today and I get it on Friday!

just went o auto auction & won a 2005 G35x 84K fully Loaded, Navi & premium Bose + new tires for $11,000 USD + Tax. good price?

about same on KBB private party...........body is good with only minior scratch, (it's black, so easy to see the scratchs), interior is good I'll give it 8.5/10.0.

cruise home at 70MPH at 3000RPM....kinda high compare to other car, Toyota Sienna only 2000RPm at 70MPH
