Thinking about buying a 2006 G35 Coupe for 17K but has 60K Miles on it Should I pass?
I have been looking for a 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe with low mileage.
The ones with low mileage are exceptionally High.
i came across a few that had 58-63K on them for around 17K.
Am I going to get a reliable car if I purchase one of these with high mileage, or am I asking for trouble? Should I Pass?
thank you for your support.

It's an 06 i'm paying through my credit union 3.9 Interest rate.
I'm telling the dealer i'm paying Cash though, because i'm going to drop them a check for the full amount. I plan on using this car daily and putting at least 100+ miles per day on it and i dont want to have a car thats a money pit. I had an MR2 Spyder and i wanted to upgrade to the g-Coupe

Automatic, I would have to purchase an Extended Warranty.
Most of the 06 Coupes with 40-60K Miles are 21,000and up.
I was looking for a good reliable car thats nice and wont break the bank for repairs.
It was an 06 G35 Coupe, or an 08 Mitsubishi Eclipse, of course i prefer the Infiniti, but if i go for the mitsubishi I will have lower mileage. Tough Decision

Wow I just got an 06 MT6 very nice had 29k on it got it for 27k put 4k down, had the clutch replaced, it came with the rest of the factory warranty very nice car. is in mint condition besides some little nicks hear and there, I worked on an 03 G35 coupe MT6 the other day, replaced valve cover gaskets because they were leaking the car had 56k on it so keep an eye out for that. As for mitsubishi I wouldn't recommend them, they rust fast and they have timing belts, more maintenance.

If you're getting an extended warranty go for it. I just paid 22k for my 06 coupe with 30k on it earlier this year. premium and sports packages with 6mt. If you financing it just wait and find something you are happy with. If you are getting an auto tranny then you should be able to find something for 1-2k more with much less miles that will still be under factory warranty. I mean the extended warranty will run about 2k anyways. My 06 with 30k was manufactured and sold in 9/06 so I am good through 9/10. I am not saying autos are cheaper but if I remember correctly the 6mt come with the sports package which you wouldn't be paying for if you opt for an auto without it. I know you drive a lot of miles but the 6mt is how this car should be driven.
Be aware that some G's have the dreaded "oil consumption issue". Thankfully mine doesn't. And Power window motors tend to go around 60k.
Stay away from the mitsubushi. Go with the G. It's not even funny how much better of a car it is. I wouldn't even put the two in the same class. I would get an 04 G before an 08 Mitsubishi for several reasons.

i had two mitsibishis the raider and the gallant ralliart, the depreciation is horrible, my wifes car has 26k still owed, and the resale is only like 18k, my g is worth more and its two yrs older.

but back on topic, i'd be pretty weary of the g35 above 60k miles, especially if it would be used as a daily commuter.
