G35 With an accident
G35 With an accident
Hey guys,
I looked at a gray on black 06 coupe on the weekend and the car fax stated that it had rear damages in the amount of $3400, this included paint labor and parts. It did not say that it had any frame damage, but I am very skeptical. The damage was isolated to the rear bumper which needed to be replaced and the quarter panel needed to be sucked out with a magnet. Do you guys think there could be any structural damage? Thanks.

I would dig a little deeper before you decide to purchase. I leased a G35 black coupe on June 1/05 (4 yr lease). It expires at the end of this month. I had planned to purchase the lease out - because my car only has 65,000 KM - which is like 50,000 miles.
I got into an accident on Friday that passed. I was driving in a straight line.. .when a car travelling in the opposite direction decided to make a left through my car door. It pissed me off - but I'm told that the damage is about 6K-8K to repair. I will need a door, my suspension is a little fu%ked, and my rims are fu^ked too. BUT... my car guy says that the car is still good - because there was no damage to the engine or beneath the car.. He still thinks it is a good buy. I am not sure what I am going to do.. but I am still considering to buy it out..
Moral of the story.. Price of damages are, to a certain extent, irrelevant if you can find what was actually damaged...
