VPP in Canada

I am looking to get a G37x sedan.

My new employer qualifies as a "business associate" of Nissan for the purposes of the Canadian VPP.

Per www.vppcanada.ca

For Employees of Business Associates and Nissan Affiliate Companies and their eligible family members, the VPP price is calculated as follows:

•Dealer Invoice
•Plus Freight and Pre-Delivery Expenses
•Minus VPP discount
•Plus dealer-added options, Added Security Plan (ASP), etc.
•Minus applicable incentives
•Plus 2.5% delivery fee of dealer invoice after VPP discount has been subtracted
•Equals participant's purchase price

Has anyone had any experience good or bad with the Canadian program or know what the VPP discount is? I note that it is disclosed as 1.65% on the US site.

Thanks for your help.

I used this program to get my vehicle 2+ years ago, and I can tell you that the VPP discount is effectively negated by the 2.5% dealer 'delivery fee' chargeback...it might work out to a couple of hundred dollars in your favour, but nothing significant. Regardless, it's still a good program, made even better by any applicable incentives...

Thanks, sounds like a lot less hassle than negotiating with the sales staff. Now will it be an '09 or a '10...

Pulled the trigger on an '09 with the premium package. It was a simple transaction and I am pleased with the price. Decided not to wait for the 2010s to arrive in January. The $4,000 cash purchase discount was nice. Came out cheaper than my Frontier LE did. Looking forward to taking delivery in early September.
