I currently own a 2008 Jeep Wrangler X 2-door 6-Speed and have been contemplating getting rid of it (due to no need for the 4WD anymore and the MPG is abysmal). I came across a 2005 White G35 Coupe without Navigation and Brembo Brakes. The dealership wants $21,500 for it, but they said they could 'work with me' on a price.

It has some minor 'issues' which are purely cosmetic (engine has 40k miles on it, but traffic was too bad for me to want to test drive it) and the interior is in near-perfect shape (one minor chip on one of the ****). Mainly each of the wheels (which are the forged ones) have some very minor curb rash on them (second G35 I've seen with this) and some dings on it (and I know a guy who can get them out for cheap and it will look brand-new). I do have a question though, how is the paint/clear coat on these cars? When I was looking at it, i noticed the passenger-side door's clear-coat wasn't quite as shiny as the front and rear panels. I'm guessing this could be due to a re-spray from it being keyed perhaps. I will be getting a Free Carfax on it Monday, but I wasn't sure if that was maybe an issue with the factory paint.

Anyways, sorry to make this a long post, but is there any major issues with these cars? So far my Jeep has been problem-free, aside from the dang cracked windshield from a rock on the interstate. I don't want to get rid of the jeep and get into a car that will have lots of issues.

I've always loved how the G35s looked and sounded, but never really pursued buying or researching one because they were 'out of my price range' at the time.
