Spoke with Infiniti on 2 separate occasions...

Person A in the finance department told me that when I find somebody to take over my lease, my name remains on the lease for the life of the lease, and if he defaults on payments that it will affect me and my credit directly.

Person B in the finance department says with a credit & quailfication from Infiniti they will agree to take my name off the lease, and remove me completely.


Anybody know which one I'm supposed to believe?

I did a lease takeover on mine & the original person is off the lease.
The key to B is that the new person needs approved credit & qualification from Infiniti. (it can take several weeks)

 

This is correct. I phoned Infiniti of Canada this morning and they confirmed that if qualified through a dealership my name will come off the lease.

 

Good stuff.
Just be ware that it may take some time.

Even though I've had many leases including one with Infiniti,
I almost walked on the deal because they took so long.
If there had been another 6mt available somewhere, I would have.

I've done them before with other makes with no delays, but Infiniti Finance sucks azz IMO.
