I've been looking at a car at a local Infiniti dealership, and on the car's carfax the latest update on it's history states this...

"Title issued or updated
Dealer took title of this vehicle while it was in inventory
Vehicle color noted as Gray"

What does the title part mean? That the dealership now has the title for the car? (wouldnt they already have that?) Or did they sell it? I'm kinda confused. It happened about ten days ago, but the car is still up on their site for sale.

Any help would be appreciated!

 

Seems completely normal to me. They just took possession of it and reported it to the state.

 

It probably means that someone at the dealer used it for a while.
Not a big deal.
