buying a 04 coupe sports 6mt w/137k miles

I am buying a 2004 G35 coupe sports from my friend this weekend. The coupe has 137k miles but still on original clutch (all freeway miles he claimed). My question is that beside preparing replacing clutch maybe sometimes soon, what other things i should also look out and prepare to do?

thank you for your time and effort

hmm, i would do a full tune up. air filter, oil change, oil filter, spark plugs, transmission oil, diff oil etc. that is a lot of miles. have you driven it? if so, do you feel anything unusual?

Eh, honestly. Stay away. You can take care of a car as well as you want, but parts don't last forever. Nissan makes great parts and great cars, but nothing lasts forever. I'd say just wait til you can afford something with lower mileage. Just my $.02. But if you do decide to make the purchase, a full tune up is in order. Change all fluids, diff fluid, engine oil, transmission fluid, etc. New air filters, cabin and intake, check shocks/springs. Any CEL? Address those and find out what is wrong before you purchase. There is a lot of risk with that many miles. But i wish you only the best!

+1 If you try and get a really high mile G because of the price, you will eventually have to pay for new parts that could possibly fail on you in the near future. You could get lucky and everything would be all good for months, but I'm not sure you would want to take that risk, especially for a DD.

I recently picked up an 04 coupe with 116k miles and runs beautifully. Interior is nearly perfect, engine purrs perfect, and everything is solid. Just keep a watchful eye over it. I bought an RX300 with 120k, drove till 230k miles, sold it even though it was running fine. I have had good experiences with high mileage japanese motors. just maintain it!!
