I want to buy rims from a guy in New York to be shipped out to me in Los Angeles. What is the best way to purchase the tires without getting ripped off. I dont know the guy so if I send him the money he might not ship the tires.

Any advice on how to purchase out of state stuff without getting ripped off? How do I make sure that when I send the money he will ship whatever he says he has.

is that person on the fourm?there is no way of telling,maybe use your credit card through paypal or whatever method you prefer.in that case if he does not ship the wheels you can file a charge back with your credit card.because you never got the items..it's hard to trust people you don't know but not everybody is out to scam people..

still I think paypal has it's flaw.credit card has better pertection for the buyer.atleast you can file a charge back with your credit card company if anything..

 

tell the seller to run a private auction in ebay.. that way ur covered.. had a couple friends do that..

 

You can buy them thru PayPal if he has an account....but first I wouldn't buy anything from a member unless they had a super high post count. The higher the better, the longer they been on DRIVER. And then there's the cost of shipping from the right cost to us, you better be getting a great deal to make it worth the cost....

Thanks guys, well the moment I brought up paypal, the dude never replied again. When he was so insistent on sending him the money using money gram at WalMart. Damn it, all im trying to do is purchase a set of M45 rims for my 07 sedan nothing flashy. I wasted so much time looking for those darn M45 rims. I give up, I will just keep my money.
