Looking for a G35

Hi all.
I'm James from Tampa, Fl. I currently own and love my Ram SRT 10 but with another new baby in the family I am thinking of trading in and getting a G35. In a perfect world I would try for an 07 but I really want to stick with no payment and either trade even out or sell and by cash. What I am hoping to learn is if I have to stay below an 07, which year would you chose and what package. Clearly I enjoy having a little pep behind the pedal and would definitely want a coupe. Are there any preferred models/years/packages to look for. I will check in here also to see what mods you guys can do on these. Can you boost these motors "safely" or do you need to build it first...costs???
I hope this is a good group and will offer some good feedback
Thanks all

Welcome. If you search a little you should find a lot. There have been a lot of discussions of this in the past. They all have pros and cons. Man when i bought my G I was torn between a reg cab ram srt-10 and the g. I ended up getting the g because it was cheaper and better on gas but I still love those trucks.

I'd suggest an 05 and up...I believe that's when the interior was changed. I picked up an 05 and very much like the interior as well as the stock spoiler (which I think was changed in 06). Just my 2 cents =) happy shopping!

I'd say get an 06. Projector headlights, different taillights from previous models, (rear trunk button), interior is more spacious than 05, only thing i dislike is the seat belt rubbing on your neck. jmo

agree 06 or 07
you wont regret it and you wont have to waste time adding small things like projectors
