Insurance Questions

Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to get my G35 (will be my first car on my own) and I was wondering what you guys recommend for coverage - i.e. how much bodily, etc. for a college student (graduating next year)

Also, can you guys link me to a page that can help explain the different components of insurance?

Thanks!

I'm living in NH - I guess I can go up to $250-$300 a month. MVR = Motor Vehicle Record? completely clean.

should be able to get some decent limits..

in an auto insurance policy, you have 3 limits. liability, property damage, and medical payments and then you can add personal injury protection (PIP)

ok, just wondering if you could suggest a general amount for each? I know it will vary individually but a general guideline would be nice.

if you are financing you might want to check to see what your banks required minimum is.

If you don't plan on crashing and driving responsible you can have your deductible at a $1000 like me to have lower insurance. I am full time college student myself and i am trying to keep my rates as low as i can.

I thought about doing the $1500 b/c i don't tail gate people. I am sure the insurance will be a few hundred cheaper.

the deductible is your call based on your lifestyle and how much money you have.

but for sure make sure your insurance offers theft, some companies have it separate and charge an arm and a leg for it.
