Importing wheels and tires to Canada Fom USA

Hello everyone, I just wanted to send a message out there for those of you who are in Canada trying to bring wheels or parts from the US in to Canada. I have recently purchased a set of Vertini Fairladys from B 2 Auto Design in Florida. (Members of the Sites Venders group).

I had tried to find these wheels here in Calgary Alberta but nobody could get them. There were only 3 other places in Canada who could and they all wanted 2500.00- 2800 for just wheels!

I called Charles at B 2 and worked out the package with him and Adrian.
I got 4 Rims Tires and lock nuts with tuner lugs for 2073.00 shipped.

I just got them shipped from Florida with DB Schenker to their depot here avoiding using purolator or UPS because they charge crazy broker fees when you can clear them yourself to save about 3-500 bucks. I only have to pay taxes and Duties which are 227.00 since im clearing them myself and not using a broker.

I havent recieved them yet, should be another 9 days.

B 2 Auto Design were awesome to talk to and helpful! If you want to get a deal on some nice wheels contact them and ask for Charles or visit their link in the Wheels Vendor section in the classifieds. Cant wait to put on the new shoes !!!

Here is the Promo Video for the wheels.

Useful post Popgoesatire, thanks.......big fan of the Vertini look btw!

I've always used local dealers, but have recently considered buying rims online from U.S., and shipping to my Toronto address directly.

Based on your math below, so it cost you around $2300 to clear it yourself ($2073 shipped by B2 Autodesign + $227 duties).

But it would've cost you $2600-$2800 to use a broker to clear? That's a huge difference!

Glad i read this post before ordering anything!.....Pls let me know if my math is right or if i misunderstood anything! Thanks!
