What to pay for a G with mods.

I am new to the site and am looking for a G35. I plan on making it F/I. I have found a few I like that are already modded to the point I want. On the subject of price, how much should be payed for a car that is already modded. A lot of the ones I am looking at have 10-15K put into them. What is a good percentage to pay for the mods already on a car?

The question that everyone will ask is what mods are you looking for on the vehicle? Also, what year, etc?

Depends on mods and fair market value. I would say it is only worth what someone think it is if they care for the mods. The seller will have a hard time selling his modded vehicle since many will think it has been abused. Use that to your advantage and act like you do not care about the mods. I would say mods are worth between 40%-60% of price paid. I would value them on the lower end of the spectrum since when I go to sell the car people will hastle me on mods. You need to find a particular buyer for a modded car where anyone will buy a stock car.

I have been looking at mostly 04 and 05. Mainly one 04 with JWT TT and Bilstien PSS9 coilovers. Here is a link on auto trader with all of the mods. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...id=AT-10C9E6B0

The cars BB is around 18K. I just dont want to pay too much just because it has mods. I have seen some people that have tried to get their money back on the investment and I think that is a little unrealistic. As far as this one goes. There is so much done to it, I dont know where to start.

Some mods do not give the car more value but can actually bring it's price down.
