I'm considering going to the dealership and trading my car for this G35 today. I'm here to see if anybody might know anything about it before I do.

It has red painted calipers, an aftermarket hood, and aftermarket intake plumbing.

 

i would personally never purchase anything that shows any modification of any kind as it shows me the type of person the previous owner was. ie: driven hard, perhaps abused etc.
I always like to start with a clean, unmolested vehicle.

 

You see exactly what I'm thinking. Given the modifications, I'm assuming this vehicle may have been driven pretty hard and owned by a younger individual. I'm a younger individual myself and understand age isn't an exact determinant that this car was driven abusively, but it's good indicator.

The hood means the engine bay has been exposed to more moisture than normal. It also has an open element filter which has most likely taken in more water considering the hood.
