Think it's possible for a straight trade?
Hey guys, I'm a Volkswagen GTI owner interested in trading for a G35 coupe. Theres nothing wrong with my car, in fact, I love it. I'm just looking for a different style of vehicle and G coupe seems like a car I would really enjoy. It's a DSG (twin clutch) car with under 50k miles. It's unmodified and in excellent condition. I see cars like mine going for $~15.5 to 16.5. What I would like is a G coupe 6MT with under 70k miles. Think it could be possible to trade cars straight over through a dealer or private seller?
Sorry for the relatively shitty pic, first I could get off my facebook lol

You have several factors that are going to determine whether or not you could 'straight trade'. First, if you are looking to make a deal private party you'd need to locate someone that wants to trade their g35 for a GTI. Second is your location...G's are cheaper in some areas and more expensive in some. Third is if you want to trade with a dealer, its going to be much more difficult. Then you are looking at trade in for your car which could be significantly less than 16k for your car, and paying retail on a used coupe. Many people report being able to get 04-06 coupes for around 16k with that milage range. Your best bet is to sell your car private party, pocket the cash and go look for your new G. Trading seems like it will take a lot of work. Atleast if you sell your car, you can take the money and find specifically what you want and buy it. Just my 2 cents
