I think its a bad idea.

1. Im going to assume your going to end up with a high mileage 03 coupe auto and a 04 coupe. They are both ticking time bombs. If money is not an issue then I support the idea of 2 06 or 07 coupes, at least then it will be easier to find a lower mileage car that you can depend on.

2. Insurance is going to be crazy stupid. But I don't know what your wife drives now.

3. Your going to have 2 premium-only gas guzzling cars, with a increase in gas prices everyday and a questionable economy.

4. Your sig says "Need more money!!" , don't be another statistic and live outside your means, consider your "needs" and "wants" with affordability and savings.

5. buying an 8 or 9 year old car is a dumb idea!!!!

I hate to echo Suze Orman, but do you have 6-8 months of bills in savings? In today's economy plus with already owning an older car you should have a decent savings built up. We all should! Personally I think if you can't put 20% down on any car purchase, plus still have savings built up then you really can't afford it right now. Just my $.02.
