2007 G35 Journey 75k miles -- Need your sage advice!
Hi folks,
I'm heavily considering a used 2007 G35 Journey (I think) Sedan with 75k miles on it. It's going for $15,995 before tax and whatever I negotiate. AutoCheck and Car Fax show 2 owners, no wrecks, steady maintenance, and a full life in Florida before it was auctioned up here to Georgia.
I just had it taken to my mechanic, and he said the only issues he could find were that the rear tires needed replacing, the car had a paint job that might show sun spots and flaking in another 5 years, and there's a noise coming from the left front tire (could be bearing, could be tire -- not sure). I also ran into an issue where the cruise control stopped working momentarily, but I was unable to recreate the problem.
Other than that, the car looks immaculate. The inside is clean as a pin and the car rides far better than any of the other G35's I've driven so far.
Does this seem like a good deal? If the sound coming from the front left tire is the wheel and not the bearing, could I be looking at an expensive issue?
Thanks ahead of time!
