G35 and G37 same price or less, which would you get?

So I'm shopping for a late model G35 2006/2007 model when I decide to see what 2008 G37's are going for and surprisingly I've found several G37's with low mileage in the 30k-50k range selling for the same price or less than a 06/07 G35. What gives? Found 2 really nice 07 G35's with about 40-45k miles but they are asking $19k range and then I'm seeing 2008 models selling for less, What gives? What would you go for?

G35s are typically more modded out than 37s so you'll find owners are often pricing their vehicles higher... Trying to get some of their money back. If you're matching prices- you'll want to know what all is included... Some awful modded cars out there so be careful.

The 35 is generally considered to be the more performance driven car... With a sportier look however the hr engine in the 37 has proven to be a champ in its stock form when it comes to heavier modifications.

It's like comparing an apple on a tree to one in the hand. They're both right- just one needs a little more work to meet your desires. Which one is which? Well that's up to you I suppose

If you're looking on Autotrader run from those G37s. They ALL have Rebuilt or Salvaged Titles. I know, I looked at every G37 coupe and sedan in the country under 60K miles under $19K the past 2 weeks trying to find my next daily after my accident. Called all of them and they were all messed up Titles or had been sold. That's why they are so cheap.

Yeah your probably right, I looked on Edmunds and the G37's should be going for the $21k -$23k range.

So you think a G35 with 45k miles is a good deal at $19k?

None! I only buy new

Be careful

http://usedcars.about.com/b/2013/02/...ean-titles.htm

“New York and New Jersey have 210,000 of the 250,000 used cars that were damaged during the storm, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau, which reported that number only reflects used cars that have been reported for insurance claims.
And that's when it hit me. In reality, only insurance companies issue salvage titles and private owners rarely do because it's tougher to sell a used car with a salvage title. So, private owners, at least those of an unscrupulous bent, are going to do cosmetic work on their damaged used cars and put them on the market.
The sad part is it's all going to be done with a clean title. Yep, there are going to be probably thousands of used cars in the market with clean titles that should really be salvaged vehicles.
It just reinforces my belief that no used car should be purchased without a pre-purchase inspection.”

The G37 loaner Infiniti gave me was SO much faster than my G35. If you want speed, I would go G37. I really like the way the G35 looks though.

I want a G37, but I did the ECU reflash on my G35 and I'm content for now. I wouldn't say the 37 is that much faster (bigger car, more weight). Once you throw intake and exhaust on the G35 you lean the engine out and lose power. Try a reflash and you'd be amazed.

If you want to mod it I'd say the G35. Cheaper purchase price leaves more money for mods.

It is when you reset your ECU. You can do this by a series of gas pedal pumps. I bought my car used and when I did this, it seemed to wake it the hell up. I do it just about every fill up.
