Looking to buy a G35, this one in particular

it has low miles and in the configuration i want and color.

I called dealer asking about the dreaded oil consumption issues, he told me that it doesnt have a history of it (how does he know anyway).

the car fax posted on the trader looks normalish

any other advice ?

IT WASN'T BAD!!
I've been looking around for the pics I had them send me. For the most part, the ride didn't look that bad, the only issue I really had was with the rims being dinged up a little. I had a salesman mail me some pics of the interior too because I like to check for surface damage to the console, and the brushed aluminum strips on the inside door handles.

I have some pics, but I'm having trouble sorting out which is which, and who they are from now. I was hunting for a 07 6MT for a while, so I have a number of pics from my list of potentials.

The only thing I know for sure is that this one was like number TWO on my list to make a trip to see. I live in NYS, so the car is about 800mi from me. The only reason I passed on it at the last minute was because another one appeared that was closer, and it had rims that were in better condition.

How far away from it are you?

so I offered them 19,000 and the sales person thinks it will sell at full retail, I told him they have the car for over 1.5 months. It would of sold by now.

so needless to say I didn't buy it, but ill walk away from it if I have two, its interesting dealing with the sales guy over email back and forth, such a stereotypical sales person, using every pressure and panic tactic on me to try and put a deposit down.

at least he's humoring me.

Yeah, I had a couple dealerships trying to give me the business too!!
What really tickled me is that a lot of them didn't know JACK out the cars they were selling, and I had to bust them over and over on their bullshit answers. I had to walk on more than a couple.

Eventually I got one that gave me a price I felt was fair.
Is the car being an auto or a 6spd/ 2006-07 a deal breaker for you?

If so, all I can say is keep looking man. Every now and then, a decent G35 will pop up. Some that I thought sold, would reappear online. There were two decent ones in PA, one in NJ, and one in Long Island. I don't now how close any of those are to you, but I can dig up my old search list, and see what's still availible. Mainly I searched through Carsguru, Cars.com, and Autotrader.

Some dude was selling a nice looking Black on Black G35 coupe on Autotrader that I almost went for too. 18k? He was a bit of a ways from me too.

which makes it that much more difficult.

and im from Toronto, but im willing to drive up to 800 miles to get a car, in the states too.

WOOOOOW......stay hardcore and stick to your guns then man. I was you not that long ago (TWO WEEKS ago), and the wait was freakin' worth it. The only real advice I can give you is to make sure you are READY to go all in if the right comes up you know? When my car came up, I had to pounce on it and drive some 350+ miles one way to get it. BE READY man.

I'll keep an eye man for you, and I'll hit you up with anything I find. I'm also in Rochester. If you ever score one you let me know, and we'll do a meet or something. I already have a couple trips planned for Toronto in the next couple months.

What's your max on mileage?

I was looking for a 6MTcoupe FOREEEEEVER and they were so hard to come by (locally at least) So I went and bought an acura TL. Just for fun I decided to ride through the car lot behind the dealership one day (In the TL I just bought) and I saw her. She was beautiful. Beige on beige '05 6mt coupe with 48k on the odo. spoiler, ground effects, 19". Did not come with the brake upgrade though. I went and got the salesman that sold me the TL not even a week before and told him to do what was necessary to get me out of that TL and in that G Spot. I ended up losing about 3k but I didn't care, I'm driving a G.

The only thing I've done to it is take the emblems off the back (lest the infiniti sign) and tint the windows

That's just what I was saying though. You have to be ready once one shows up. At least in my experience, they don't last TOO long online. If you find one, you want to at least make sure you copy the VIN and the dealers info so you can keep track of the car.

I just debadged my car this Sunday, and I want an '05 spoiler sooooo bad. SOON.

They do exist out there but yes once they are posted the good ones do not last, hence why I am expanding my search to the US.

There are some in Canada and ideally would buy here, im just being a typical dumb consumer and buying in the spring time with EVERYBODY else.

I should be buying in the fall/winter when no one is looking for a RWD 2door coupe.

there was a pristine one in Georgia with 15,000 miles black on black with RAS recently, I think it still may be on the trader but its sold.

Yha I decided to go for a 2009 G37s coupe instead.

Black on black with 32,000 miles on it.

Premium package and s package.

I just couldn't find the right g35 unfortunately, plus I already owned a 2004 before. So this made sense.

THAT'S STILL COOL TOO!! I thought about doing that, but I couldn't find one I wanted near me. I was digging on the '08's and '09's because they had the silmilar front bumper as the G35. You still got a 6spd tho right?
