Considering an '07 G35x

Hey guys,

First post here... I currently have an '06 Acura TL w/ nav. I'm considering a local G35x sedan up for sale. Pic below. It's fully stocked w/ all available options.

Do any of you guys have experience with both cars? Could you compare and contrast for me? Also, any info I should know about the G35x that might not be firsthand knowledge? I'm browsing through the site, and haven't seen any issues that really stick out.

Thanks much in advance!

It would be helpful to know the miles on the G35x, at the very least. These cars (the G35's) seem to be well above average in regard to reliability. Wheel bearings seem to be an issue, as well as interior panels flaking/peeling (steering wheel control area and door "grab" areas), but that's not really a reliability issue...just cosmetic.

I love my G, but I can't imagine that it would be a huge step up from an 06 Acura TL. I say that without ever owning a TL (I owned a TSX, which I loved).

Definitely give us the miles, price, and take a look at the CARFAX. Any accidents, does it list service history?

Sorry, I was posting in a rush. lol...

The G35 has 74k on it. The TL has 76k. Asking price of the G is $17,5. The CARFAX is clean. The service that is listed is just typical maintenance stuff.

I'm not expecting the G to be a huge upgrade. I've had the TL for three years, and I'm just due for a change. When I bought the TL, I narrowed it down between that and a G. The TL is not a quick car, where the G certainly has the edge there. I'd like that additional snot under the hood. Along with all that, the TL has a history of transmission issues, and most happen after factory warranty ends. Mine is fine. I've changed the fluids a few times, and replaced the pressure switches, which have been identified as a cause of failure. I did this as preventative maintenance. Regardless, I am just afraid of my tranny pooping out. Again, just to clarify, mine is not having any issues whatsoever. I'd never try to dump off a lemon. I'm just trying to be proactive.
